CWU's MS-PA degree program requires no thesis and can be completed within 12 months. The program provides knowledge and skills to professionals or administrators working in the public, private, or non-profit sectors.

Multiple options for the MPA program, including Master of Public Administration, Advanced Standing Masters of Public Administration, Master of Public Administration with Health Service Administration Specialization, and Public Management Development Certificates program. EWU also offers dual Masters degrees in MPA/Master of Business Administration (MBA), MPA/Master of Social Work (MSW), and MPA/Master of Urban and Regional Planning. An EWU survey found that over half of their graduates went to work or kept working for some level of government, while over 10% went to work in the non profit sector and over 25% went to work in the private sector.

The vast majority of MPA students at Seattle University are full time, but part time classes are available, with all MPA classes offered in the evening or on Saturdays.
